The price trend for Norwegian Atlantic fresh salmon has undergone a significant shift since W12. After reaching a peak earlier this year, prices have transitioned from an upward trend to a downward trend. Market indicators, including future contracts traded for Q3 and Q4 2023, support this observation. Recent trades ranging from USD 8.00-8.05/kg, with September 2023 future contracts hitting a low of USD 7.30/kg, clearly signal that the anticipated bottom for salmon prices is expected in September-October 2023.
