W40 Fresh Shimeji Mushroom Prices Dropped in China After National Holidays

In current years, due to the strict inspection of Listeria in European and American countries, not often is enoki mushroom used for export since it has a high probability of detecting Listeria in enoki mushrooms. The most commonly used varieties for export are Shimeji white and Shimeji brown. The mushroom cultivation of these two categories has been industrialized. The annual supply is guaranteed, and the prices change according to the supply and demand of the sales market. The domestic market in China has a great demand for such products, and many of them are mainly use for domestic sales.
In September, there was China’s Mid Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, so the domestic market price is firm, and the export price has increased. However, after the National Day holiday, the price dropped. Below is the updated price for W41.
Shimeji Brown FOB Shanghai USD 2.5/kg (3kg ctn with 20x150gr) and Shimeji White FOB Shanghai USD 2.35/kg (3kg ctn with 20x150gr). Prices are valid from October 10th-16th.
