Guatemala watermelon export value increased by 11% during January 2022 compared to 2021.

During January 2022 watermelon export value was USD 8.5M, an increase of 11% compared to USD 7.6M in January 2021. During 2021 watermelon exports reached its highest value for the last years with USD 32.2M, the main market was the US who accounted for 92% of exports. For 2022 exports grew well and the exporting companies expect export value to increase as demand from the US keeps increasing.
