South Africa are expecting a good grape harvest in 2021. The South African Wine Industry and Systems (SAWIS) initial crop estimates indicate that they may equal or surpass last years harvest of 1.3 million tons.
This was largely due to good rains in late 2019 and 2020. The only concern for this promising harvest is that South Africa has a wine glut of 250 million liters. This will see wine farmers selling their grapes for juice concentrate.
