In the Tokyo Market, the Supply of Cucumbers Increased by 56% WoW in W7

After experiencing a seasonal peak in demand in W3–W5, cucumber prices in the Tokyo market started to decline. In W3-W5, increasing demand caused the price of cucumbers for the celebration to rise from USD 3.16/kg to USD 4.95/kg on February 3, 2023. The consumption of cucumbers returned to normal in W6, and the seasonal supply from Tokyo's suburbs surged by 56% WOW. This supply caused the price to fall to USD 3.29/kg. In W7, the price stood at USD 3.2/kg and has stayed within that range.
