Prices of Imported Snow Crab from Russia Dropped by 50% in Japan

Snow crab prices from Russia are declining in the Japanese market. In September 2022, the selling price of snow crab was about USD 43.99/kg (JPY 6K/kg), but now it's down to USD 22/kg (JPY 3K/kg). Japan imports snow crabs from Russia, and Japan processes the crabs in the Hokkaido factory and then sell them to other country and local markets. Due to Russia's inability to export goods to the US and Canada and the difficulty of consuming them domestically, the price appears to have decreased.
