Kagoshima Amberjack Standard Port Price in Japan Remains the Same as December 2022

The standard port price for farmed amberjack in Kagoshima Prefecture's main production area was USD 11.29/kg (JPY 1,450/kg) in early January 2023, the same price as December 2022. Kagoshima Prefecture is the largest producer of farmed amberjack, and the fisheries cooperative produces between 1M and 1.2M fish each year. The fishery cooperative's main export destinations are the United States and Canada, with Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Thailand among others.
