The National CSO Forum that took place between October 27-29 brought farmers from 31 coffee-growing counties in Kenya together. At the forum it emerged that Kenyan coffee farmers want the government to fast-track the reintroduction of the 2 % levy on coffee sales, where the fund is intended to aid in the funding of coffee research and the operation of Kenya's coffee board. According to the Kenya Coffee Producers Association, the restructured Coffee Board and Research Institute will work with various stakeholders to promote the production and marketing of coffee in the country.
