The majority of producers of pomegranates in Uzbekistan are local farmers. They sell their products at arranged by brokers "sales points", having previously sorted the goods by quality and caliber. Sorting of pomegranates, cherries, apricots and other products is done manually, due to the lack of capital, which allows the graders to additionally assess the quality of each fruit. When the broker has collected the needed amount, he sells the volume to Importer, who checks the quality again, measures the caliber, packs in consumer packaging and sells goods for exports.
