Nigerian sorghum prices increased to USD 0.494 per kg and are expected to keep on rising

At the start of trading today, the price of sorghum increased by 0.8% to USD 0.494 per kg EXW in the North Central and North Western Markets. It is wdely expected that the price will increase at the peak season of the Yuletide to USD 0.54-0.60 per kg EXW due to demands from local businesses brewing sorghum-based alcoholic beverage, Burukutu.
