The harvest season has begun with cashew farmers and merchants planning low-cost strategies to optimize yield, especially in Kogi and Oyo, where the nuts are plentiful. Cashew season in Nigeria is from February up to June, even though merchants stockpile for export throughout the year. Cashews are currently traded at USD 1,313 per MT and are expected to taper as production increases.
