Despite slower sales throughout the third and fourth quarter in 2021, continuing collection of Cinnamomum burmannii by foreign companies prevents price from being back to normal. Exporters complained that competition to secure products from perfect trees at age of 10-15 years cultivated by well-financed companies loaded with long contracts is causing price fluctuation. Price for hi-svo, semi-cleaned unsorted materials have touched USD 6 per kg and very high freight charges have prevented important export qualities such as VAA/A to depreciate.
