A total of 15,181 tons of fresh mackerel was transported throughout the major ports of Japan in December 2022. The total harvest of fresh mackerel in Choshi City in Chiba was 3,177 tons, a decrease of 53% from November 2021. Ishinomaki City in Miyagi was 5,603 tons, an increase of 295% than in November 2021. Landings in November 2022 were 3,238 tons in Choshi, a decrease of 38% YoY, and 5,634 tons in Ishinomaki, a decline of 23% YoY.
