Portuguese orange quality improved in comparison to prior campaign

In general, this has been a good year for orange and its quality. They had some rain, even if watering was still necessary, and the sunlight they needed. This decreased insect and disease pressure, and farmers could produce without spending much on pesticides.

Algarve Orange, which is consumed internally and exported, has always been praised, but this year, it has shown a slight increase in sweetness (Brix).
Moreover, export volume and export value increase slightly, which is good news for the local producers.
