Price for Italian Grated Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano Cheese in October

Due to a significant increase in production costs, including a 60% increase in energy costs, a 95% increase in feed costs, a 110% increase in diesel prices, and a 500% increase in electricity bills, it is currently difficult for Italian cheese suppliers to make long-term forecasts for sales prices. Instead, prices are only confirmed on a monthly basis. In October, the wholesale price of grated cheese was around USD 9.57/kg for Grana Padano and USD 11.14/kg for Parmigiano Reggiano.
