It is indicated that the price of rice in Vietnam has witnessed a significant increase by US$5/ MT in comparison with that of last week which was at about US$490 – 495/MT. The major reason for the decline in the supply of rice in Vietnam which resulted in the growth of the price. However, this trend is predicted to stop by the end of this month as the Autumn-winter season is ready to come and Philippines importers have stopped buying Vietnamese rice to support the rice manufacture in this country.
