The stormy weather that has hit the northern part of the Java sea has limited the production capacity of the fisherman to produce mackerel. Their limited time at sea has created a slight increase in the price of this particular commodity. Across East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara province, the price of mackerel has now reached IDR 28.000/Kg, up from its price in the previous 3 weeks at IDR 26.000/Kg on the retailer level. The same has also happened in the eastern part of Indonesia where the price of this fish has now reached IDR 30.000/Kg, up from its previous highest price at IDR 27.000/Kg. As the weather will continue to be at its current state, the price of mackerel is also expected to follow suit.
