Salmon Season 2022 in the Far East of Russia Gaining Momentum

The salmon fishing season in the regions of the Russian Far East, which began on the first day of June, is actively gaining momentum.

The volume of production is already 2.3 times higher than the level of the latest same even-numbered year (2020).

By July 18th, 2022, the catch of Pacific salmon in the Far Eastern fishery basin reached 63 thousand mt.

The main fishing region, as always, is the Kamchatka Territory. The positive dynamic is also observed in the Chukotka, Khabarovsk and the Magadan Region.

Traditionally, pink salmon occupies the first position in terms of production volumes with current catch of 38 thousand mt.
