South African's stone fruit export variance compared to previous year

Plum export volume has been estimated to be 15.7 million cartons (5.25kg equivalents), a 3% increase on the previous season. Nectarine exports are forecast to increase by 10%, to 7.1 million cartons (2.5kg equivalents). Peach export volumes are forecast to be 3% down at 2.37 million cartons (2.5kg equivalents) due to the reduced cultivated area of desert peaches. On the other hand, apricot export is estimated to remain the same at 681,000 cartons (4.75kg equivalents).
