The Global Biggest Buyer of Indonesia Start New Quota Pushed China Garlic Price Up +7% in 3 days

The world biggest garlic buyer of Indonesia started its new import quota on 22 March. Annually Indonesia imports about 600,000mt. This is the biggest news for weak market of Chinese garlic. In the past 3 days, China stored garlic price +7%. In week 12, Indonesia buyers will ship about 500 containers. However, based on so big stocks and good forecast of 2022 new crop harvest in May, current price trend is expected to be temporary. In the long run, price will follow the current decreasing trend. And the bottom point is anticipated in mid or late of May.
