The price of Myanmar exported watermelon triples due to high demand yet low supply

Due to the COVID-19 control measures during the monsoon season, watermelon suppliers had to slow down the seedling, growing, and harvesting process. Thus, the total production of watermelon in 2020 has decreased dramatically. At the end of October, there was a high demand from China to buy Myanmar watermelon and currently, at the Myanmar-China border, the price of watermelon has triple compared to 2019.
