During W37, the supply of Tahiti limes decreased in Colombia's wholesale market, leading to a price increase in 26 out of 29 markets where they were available. Merchants attribute this price surge to a reduction in the entry of top-quality lemons from various growing areas in Colombia, including Andalusia, Tuluá, Caicedonia, Espinal, Guamo, Lebrija, Girón, Rionegro, Santa Bárbara, Abejorral, Montebello, Montenegro, La Tebaida, and Quimbaya. Additionally, increased citrus sales contributed to this trend. Notably, in Florencia, the average price increased to USD 0.95 per kilogram (COP 4,133/kg) and USD 0.68/kg (COP 2,954/kg) in Barranquillita, with an average of 30.91% week-on-week (WoW).
