The pomegranate growers in Central Valley, California, anticipate an earlier end to their export season due to the heavy rains, which decreased the quality of the fruit and caused a large number of cracked and smaller-sized fruits to be ready for harvest. For W45, there was a lot of fruit available for domestic markets, making the prices of pomegranate drop. The FOB price in Central California for 4.5kg boxes of Extra Fancy pomegranates in W45 stood at:
