The trend for organic food is the way to go

There is a growth in importing organic grains, including rice, wheat, and millet, from various countries. Although demand for organic foods in UAE is mainly from high-end restaurants that focus on the quality of food and nutritional and health aspects, there has been an uptick in end-consumer demand. The shelves of higher-end and gourmet supermarkets have seen a growth in the number of offers in the organic category in the last 2 years, coinciding with the advent of Covid-19. It is not clear whether the pandemic influences this trend.
