Turkish Pistachio Export Value Increased 12% YoY From January-September 2022

From January to September 2022, Turkey exported 16,000MT of pistachios worth USD 146M to 100 countries, up from 12,319MT and USD 130M in 2021, representing an increase of 30% YoY in volume and 12% YoY in value. Iraq, Georgia, the Netherlands, Algeria, Malaysia, Japan, Morocco, France, Oman, Dubai, Belgium, Spain, Austria, and Russia were among the countries to which pistachios were exported up until September 2022. Italy was the country importing the most pistachios from Turkey, at USD 31.4M. This is followed by Germany at USD 22.3M and Kyrgyzstan at USD 13.4M. Pistachio exports are expected to increase even more with the establishment of licensed pistachio warehouses.
