During the current year, the world bank has made available over 3.5 billion meticais to be invested in repairing access roads in various districts in Zambezia, Mozambique. Repairing these roads is a crucial step to improving the agricultural productivity of the region because these roads have long been major routes of agricultural products in the region, and their precarious state greatly hindered the outflow of agricultural products from the province. The project will rehabilitate over 664 km of road spanning across the four districts of Morrumbala, Luabo, Chinde, Mocubela, Pebane, and Maganja da Costa.
