Türkiye supplied 60% of the world's dried fig exports in the 2021/22 season. Europe had a 51% share in exports of Turkish figs worth USD 258M. Exports to the Americas increased by 2.3% and amounted to USD 53M, export to Asia, Oceania, and Far East countries increased by 5.6% to USD 30M, to Middle East countries by 19% to USD 17M, and to Turkic Republics and Slavic countries by USD 9.8M. The yield and quality of dried figs are expected to be high in the 2022/23 season, and the objective is to increase the export volume to 75,000MT and value to USD 300M.
