According to custom records, Vietnam has exported 363,000 tonnes of cashew nuts from January to September of 2020, value at 2.3 billion USD, up by 10.6% in volume but down by 4% in value compared to the same period in 2019.

China's demand for cashew nuts is on the rise, but importers have imposed stricter requirements on quality, which some producers from Vietnam might have difficulties to meet.

The Vietnam Cashew Association forecast export for cashew kernel will surge in the last quarter of 2020, with growing demand from major importers including the US, the EU, India and China, during the holiday season.
