Vietnamese Pork Imports Surged by 4.3% in Volume Despite 1.1% Decrease in Value During Jan-24 to Feb-24

According to Vietnam Customs, from Jan-24 to Feb-24, Vietnam imported 8.46 thousand tons of fresh chilled or frozen pork, valued at USD 18.69 million. This represents a 4.3% year-over-year (YoY) increase in volume but a 1.1% YoY decrease in value. The average import price to Vietnam was USD 2,209 per ton, a decrease of 5.2% YoY. Vietnam imported pork from 19 countries, with Brazil being the largest supplier at 39.64% of the total imported volume, followed by Russia at 32.22% and Canada at 9.5%.
