The walnut harvest started in China, and Turkey is one of the primary markets for Chinese in-shell walnuts this season, especially the Type 185 variety. This year, demand from Turkey is forecasted to be lower due to the economic crisis the country faces. Turkish buyers are waiting to see the local production volume and quality before importing walnuts. In W35, the CIF price of Type 185 in-shell walnuts stood at USD 2.65/kg at Mersin Port.
