Employees of African universities are interested in Russian technologies, educational initiatives, and the creation of innovation centers in Africa. They expressed this interest during a series of lectures on food security in Africa at the 'School of Young Africanists ChakulaKwanza' project. The Africans are particularly interested in biotechnology and environmental technologies. They believe that a partnership with Russia could help equip their factories and scientific and technical libraries. A South African researcher also suggested that Africa could bring legumes, which are a good source of protein, to Russia.
