The Rural Youth Development Foundation conducted its first career exploration activity for rural youth from September 9th to 11th, spanning three days and two nights to help rural youth acquire career information. This activity was a collaborative project with local governments, with 62 youths from Yecheon County, Gyeongbuk Province, and Buyeo County, Chungnam Province participating. The youths had group university exploration time with Seoul National University student mentors. Furthermore, they explored various careers through future technology experience activities, including intelligent robotics engineers, urban and transportation design experts, and AI financial analysts. They also experienced cultural activities such as attending performances and exploring college streets. The foundation is implementing career exploration activities, including domestic university tours and job experience activities, up to three times a year to help rural youth choose their careers. Last year, exploration activities were conducted twice, in September and November. Reporter Son Min-jeong sonmj@agrinet.co.kr
