The Southern Branch Office of the Agriculture and Food Administration in Taiwan has successfully expanded organic farming areas under its management by more than a third (5,269 hectares) of the country's total organic farming land. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote environmental sustainability and enhance domestic production. The office has also supported farmers in obtaining production and marketing resume verification, encouraged the growth of miscellaneous grains, and guided the establishment of 66 production areas covering 2,021 hectares. Additionally, the office has pursued various agricultural policies, including subsidies for machinery, promotion of environmentally friendly materials, and safety inspections of pesticides. The office's efforts have led to notable achievements in agricultural production and education, as showcased in a press conference and a published book highlighting the benefits of organic farming.
