Argentina's dairy exports have seen a significant increase between January and September 2022, with a total of 299,897 tons, a 6.8% increase from the previous year, and revenue of $1,212 million, up 29.6% year-on-year. The country exported 2,193 million liters of dairy products, a 9.8% increase from 2021, accounting for 26% of the national production volume. The main exports included powdered milk (49.6%), cheeses (23.6%), and other dairy products (17.1%). The average export price per ton was $4,043, a 21.4% increase from 2021. The main destinations for these exports were Brazil (27.4%), Algeria (24.8%), and Chile (8.3%). Despite these record exports and high international market prices, the productive links have not seen any economic benefits due to export duties and a delayed exchange rate.
