In an effort to boost the income of rural farmers and ensure no land remains fallow, the District Governor of Osmaneli in Bilecik, Yüksel Ünal, has launched a pioneering project by distributing 3,000 thornless blackberry seedlings to 27 village headmen. This initiative, marking the first introduction of blackberry cultivation in the region, aims to provide farmers with a high-return, low-cost crop option. The distribution ceremony was attended by local agricultural and governmental officials, reflecting a collective hope for the widespread adoption of blackberry farming. The initiative has been praised by the Headmen's Association President, Kasım Balcı, who highlighted the success of previous agricultural projects initiated by Ünal.
