The Beyond Seeds Group has introduced a new cross-breed vegetable, resulting from a five-year collaboration with IFAPA, as part of a product range expansion. This novel vegetable is a hybrid of zucchini and cucumber and can be consumed both raw and cooked. Originally native to South America, this vegetable is now named Zucchiolo and is optimized for greenhouse cultivation, especially in Mediterranean climates. The planting capacity is approximately 8,500 on one hectare, with a potential yield of 9-11 kilograms per square meter in two months. Zucchiolo is available in three colors, each offering a unique taste and texture.
