Turkish apple exports in the 2022/23 season have seen a 6% decrease compared to the previous season, with a total of 135 thousand tons exported by the end of December 2022. This decline is primarily due to a 24% decrease in December exports and a significant reduction in shipments to traditional markets such as India, Syria, and Libya. However, Turkey has seen increased exports to Saudi Arabia and Russia, with Russia emerging as a new major market after banning apple imports from Moldova.
