Average daily sugar shipments of Brazil in December reduced by 38.7% compared to the previous year

Sugar and molasses exports by Brazil in 10 business days up to the 2nd week of December totaled 1,162,934.4 tons, according to figures presented this Monday (16) by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex). When comparing this daily average with that of the same period in 2023, this represents a reduction of 38.7%. While in this month of December, during the first fortnight, the daily average of sugar and molasses exports was 116,293.7 tons, this average for all of December 2023 was 189,623.1 tons, a month in which 3,792,461.7 tons were shipped by Brazil.
