Bahlil Sets Mandatory Bioethanol 5%-10%, These Are the Locations of Its Implementation

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has officially established a policy for the blending of oil-based fuel (BBM) with biofuel (BBN). This is done to strengthen national energy resilience and promote energy transition. These regulations are contained in the Minister of ESDM Decision Number 113.K/EK.05/MEM.E/2026 regarding the Implementation of Biofuel Utilization, which was established on 3 March 2026. In this new policy, the government sets a target for the gradual implementation of biofuel blending by 2030. For biodiesel (solar) in 2026, it is 40%, and for 2027-2030, it is 50%. The implementation is carried out nationally. Meanwhile, for bioethanol in 2026-2027, it is 5%, and for 2028-2030, it is 10%.
