Recent discussions between Kazakhstan and Mongolia have led to an agreement on the export of fine-breed sheep from Kazakhstan to Mongolia, with a focus on veterinary cooperation. In August, an agreement was reached on veterinary certificates for the export of commercial and fine-breed sheep and goats. A Mongolian delegation inspected farms in Turkestan to ensure compliance with Mongolian veterinary health standards, and praised the Kazakhstan veterinary department and preventive measures. The two countries are also working on a new memorandum of understanding to strengthen the exchange of veterinary expertise and national laboratory staff between them.
