In the first ten months of 2022, dairy exports have seen a notable increase, with a value of US$220.1 million, which is a 34.1% rise from the same period in 2021. This includes a 18.5% increase in September and a 23.3% rise in volume in the third quarter. The United States and Colombia have been the main importers, with the United States seeing a 158% increase in shipments and Colombia experiencing a 2,326% increase. Condensed milk is the leading export product, followed by whole powdered milk and cheese. This period also marked a decrease in exports of other dairy product preparations and whey, but there was an increase in the volume of whey shipments.
