Bursa, known for its fertile lands and quality agricultural products, is a significant contributor to Turkey and Europe's agricultural market. Yenişehir alone is responsible for producing approximately 100 thousand tons of spinach on 2500 decares, which meets about 25% of Turkey's spinach demand. The production involves significant manual labor, with the assistance of machines, and results in a revenue of around 40 million liras, with 60% of the produce being exported and the remainder sold domestically. The price of spinach varies, being sold for 4 liras per kilogram in the field and between 10 to 15 liras in markets.
