In February, Cambodia experienced a significant drop in cashew prices, leading the Cambodia Cashew Association to urge members to delay selling raw cashews and instead dry them before selling. This measure was taken in response to a 32% decrease in Cambodia's cashew exports to Vietnam. However, starting mid-March, cashew prices began to recover, reaching a 15-year high of 5,000 Cambodian riels per kilogram for raw cashews and US$1,200 per ton for dried cashews. The export volume for Cambodia's cashew in 2023 is projected to decrease by 7.6% to 656,000 tons, with an expected export value of US$837 million.
