The National Fisheries Office has reported a significant decrease in the quantities of fishery products marketed from coastal and artisanal fishing, with a 36% drop to 30,201 tons, and a 18% decrease in value to 977.31 million dirhams, compared to the same period last year. Despite this, the value of specific products such as algae, oysters, and crustaceans have seen an increase, while molluscs and white and pelagic fish have seen a decrease. The unloading volumes and values at Mediterranean ports have increased by 6% and 13% respectively, in contrast to a 38% decrease and a 19% decrease at Atlantic Ocean ports.
