During the quarantine phytosanitary control, the import of the following regulated products that did not meet phytosanitary requirements was suppressed: 743 tons of wheat, barley, potatoes, chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, beets, eggplants, apples, bananas, dried fruits, 265 m3 of lumber and 10,479 pieces of herb seedlings and rhizomes of flower crops from the Russian Federation, 57.2 tons of apples, pears, sea buckthorn from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, 10 tons of dried apricots from Afghanistan, 20 tons of dried apricots from Turkey, 0.35 tons of grapes, persimmons, melon seeds, alfalfa seeds and 10 pieces of spruce seedlings from Uzbekistan. As a result, persons who violated the legislation in the field of plant quarantine were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 400 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan and administrative fines were imposed on them.
