Contracts at risk: queues have emerged in Ukrainian ports

In Ukrainian seaports, there is an overload of grain terminals, creating risks of contract execution deadlines being missed. This is reported by analysts from Spike Brokers. Over the past week, there has been a significant accumulation of corn in the ports. Due to the large flow of cargo, the logistics system is operating at the limit of its capabilities. As a result, queues of road transport are forming, and the speed of grain unloading is decreasing. Since the beginning of April, Ukraine has already exported over 816 thousand tons of corn. The main buyers have been Turkey and Italy, as well as a number of other European and Mediterranean countries, including Spain, the Netherlands, Tunisia, and Belgium. At the same time, the surplus of grain in the ports and difficulties with its shipment are putting pressure on prices.
