The Nha Ho Cotton Research and Agricultural Development Institute and the Corn Research Institute, both under the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on research, development, production, and business of corn varieties. The agreement includes cooperation in researching, producing, and trading hybrid maize seeds, as well as sharing and transferring the rights to exploit and trade certain hybrid maize varieties. The Ninh Thuan province, where the institutes are located, has a favorable climate for F1 hybrid maize seed production, making it one of the largest regions in Vietnam for this type of seed.
