The area remains projected at 7.39 million hectares, 1.83% above the previous season, a movement associated with the higher internal demand for the cereal and the advancement of the state's exports. Regarding productivity, the institute points to a scenario of uncertainty, since the climatic conditions throughout the cycle will be determinant for the final performance. For this reason, Imea kept as a reference the average of the last three crops, estimated at 116.61 bags per hectare, 8.38% below what was observed in the previous cycle, marked by a record yield.
