Australian cotton producers are optimistic about the upcoming harvest, with a 91% increase in production expected according to the Australia Bureau of Agricultural Resource Economics and Sciences. The season has had its challenges, but cooler temperatures and adequate water supply have aided growth. However, disease and pest management remains a concern. The industry is also bracing for potential equipment shortages during harvest due to fewer contractors and COVID-related restrictions on labor imports.
