Strong floods broke into the phytotents that housed a large production of strawberries that were going to be marketed in the province of Cuzco. Heavy rains washed away mud and small stones, affecting the nursery and the strawberries that were just about to ripen. “We need motor pumps and backhoes (...) because the infrastructure [of the phytotents] is deteriorating,” said Alejandrina Zereceda Arellano.
